Age Grading & Combined Event Scoring

Age Grading is an adjustment for a performance (time, height or distance) based on age – the older you are, the bigger the adjustment. The adjustment, known as an Age Grade Factor, is multiplied by the performance to get an Age Graded Performance so all times, heights or distances for each event by athletes from 20 to over 100 years old can be compared to each other! The Age Graded Performance is the equivalent to what the athlete would have done when they were in their 20s.

Meet the Athletes

Loved track & field in High School and College. (Sprinter - 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, Long Jump and Triple Jump.) Finally turned 50 in 2020 and Covid wiped out my rookie season! Did reasonably well in 2021 at our South Dakota State Senior Games, qualifying for the 2022 National Games in Florida. NSG Florida highlights - 4th in Long Jump and a Silver in the Triple Jump. Qualified for Pittsburgh last fall. Looking to improve my speed endurance and Triple Jump mechanics this year.

Scott Rudge, USA - M53
