Age Grading & Combined Event Scoring

Age Grading is an adjustment for a performance (time, height or distance) based on age – the older you are, the bigger the adjustment. The adjustment, known as an Age Grade Factor, is multiplied by the performance to get an Age Graded Performance so all times, heights or distances for each event by athletes from 20 to over 100 years old can be compared to each other! The Age Graded Performance is the equivalent to what the athlete would have done when they were in their 20s.

Meet the Athletes

I have been involved in athletics since I was 13 years old, with several breaks over the years due to studying, family and lots of time off with injuries.
Have managed to string some good consistent training together and have now been relatively injury free for past 3-4 years. Concentrating mostly on distance events - anything from 3km to the marathon. 2019 was a great year for me, where I posted times over 5km, 10km, half and full marathons that rivalled times I set in my 30's.
Striving to continue to improve in 2020 and hopefully set some more PB's and maybe even records!
Coached by Barry Keem (Team Keem Coaching).
