Age Grading & Combined Event Scoring

Age Grading is an adjustment for a performance (time, height or distance) based on age – the older you are, the bigger the adjustment. The adjustment, known as an Age Grade Factor, is multiplied by the performance to get an Age Graded Performance so all times, heights or distances for each event by athletes from 20 to over 100 years old can be compared to each other! The Age Graded Performance is the equivalent to what the athlete would have done when they were in their 20s.

Meet the Athletes

From open-heart surgery to becoming a ranked masters track athlete my passion is to inspire you to live a fit & active life.

My Story
A few years ago, I nearly died. Well, technically I did. Several times. BUT, through the amazing work of some incredible doctors, I was granted some “extra innings” - as they say. I wasn’t going to squander them. I became a gold medalist in the senior olympics and was nationally ranked by the USA Track & Field Association as a master's track and field athlete.

But there is more to life than medals. It’s the quality of life that I got back. It’s being able to play with my grandkids and be present in the lives of my four beautiful daughters.

My passion is to share the 21 Fitness Principles that led to my comeback story so that you can use them as your blueprint to live a fit and active life. No matter your age, fitness passion, or how dire a situation you may have experienced.

Dan Williams, USA - M74
