Not all performances on this page are confirmed to be accurate and done in accordance with WMA rules. Consequently, performances better than the listed World Record either have yet to be ratified, do not meet all ratification requirements or are not accurate. Combined-Event scores may have been calculated with different tables so may not be directly comparable.

This page is a work in progress. There are many more recent performances available for this page so there are many of those listed where better performances from earlier years are not. I will be working on this periodically, assessing how deep these lists should go, setting thresholds for listing and working on automating updates for current performances.

Not sure how deep and complete these lists can be but it doesn't hurt to try. All results inserted or submitted to the rankings lists will be included where appropriate so the lists will be reasonably up-to-date going forward.

This feature is being included because many of you have requested. The first draft of this page, publicly available on June 24, 2017, will change with your feedback so please provide your thoughts on how this can be improved.

Plan for this page (will change based on athlete feedback):

  • Listed Events: any event for which a reasonably complete, historical record can be compiled.
  • List Depth: all performances better than a minimum standard

Please provide your feedback and suggestions for this page Click to submit suggestions, feedback and requests..

Some performances from sources other than MastersRankings needs to be made compatible with MastersRankings’ format. Consequently, not all performances are listed and some athlete bests have not been updated. These lists currently include a compilation of less than 20,000 performances gathered from other sources plus the best age group performances for each athlete from the 1,433,207 in MastersRankings. The former take precedence for the moment as this page and the related programs which will keep these lists up-to-date are finished later this year.

Ranking numbers and deeper lists, where appropriate, will be shown when the information is cleaned up and known errors in MastersRankings is fixed (there are processing errors where performances from one athlete is credited to another).

 About this site:

This site is dedicated to serving Masters Athletes providing performance lists and many other features. There are 1,433,207 performances listed representing 188,187 athletes from 189 nations.

Lists on this site are progressive so athletes can see where they stand all year long. MastersRankings does not seek to replace any national ranking list - it will include those lists so World and WMA regional rankings lists are accurate and comprehensive.

It will take time to coordinate everything related to these lists. Visitors will see spikes in the number of performances listed as national federations and MastersRankings develop the protocols for posting national rankings lists within the World and WMA regional lists. A list will be labeled as final once we are confident that the top performers are listed.

Pictures thanks Doug Smith, Ken Stone, Rob Jerome, Dave Albo, Tom Phillips, Frank Poulin, Craig Godwin, Robert McDaniels, Kip Hopson, Kelvin Watkins, Torrey Enoksen and Cristian Muñoz Loayza for all the fantastic pictures they provided.

More to come! changes to meet the needs of Masters Athletes. Keep checking back to keep up with the evolution.
